Worry no more, there is a way to grant yourself access. Follow this guide\u2026<\/p>\n<p><span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\u201dMsoNormal\u201d\"> There are a few differences in the procedure depending on whether you have <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.fixmyxp.com\/index.php?option=com_glossary&amp;catid=31&amp;func=display&amp;search=Windows+XP+Home+Edition\" target=\"_New\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Windows XP Home Edition<\/a><\/strong>, <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.fixmyxp.com\/index.php?option=com_glossary&amp;catid=31&amp;func=display&amp;search=Windows+XP+Professional\" target=\"_New\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Windows XP Professional<\/a><\/strong> or <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.fixmyxp.com\/index.php?option=com_glossary&amp;catid=31&amp;func=display&amp;search=Windows+XP+Media+Center+Edition\" target=\"_New\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Windows XP Media Center Edition<\/a><\/strong>. At the Windows Login Screen Select <strong>ADMINISTRATOR<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\u201dMsoNormal\u201d\"> <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.fixmyxp.com\/index.php?option=com_glossary&amp;catid=31&amp;func=display&amp;search=Windows+XP+Professional\" target=\"_New\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Windows XP Professional<\/a><\/strong> or <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.fixmyxp.com\/index.php?option=com_glossary&amp;catid=31&amp;func=display&amp;search=Windows+XP+Media+Center+Edition\" target=\"_New\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Windows XP Media Center Edition<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"\u201dMsoNormal\u201d\"> If you have <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.fixmyxp.com\/index.php?option=com_glossary&amp;catid=31&amp;func=display&amp;search=Windows+XP+Professional\" target=\"_New\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Windows XP Professional<\/a><\/strong> or any of the versions of <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.fixmyxp.com\/index.php?option=com_glossary&amp;catid=31&amp;func=display&amp;search=Windows+XP+Media+Center+Edition\" target=\"_New\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Windows XP Media Center Edition<\/a><\/strong>, you won&#8217;t have to restart your computer in Safe Mode, but you will have to <strong><\/strong><strong>Disable Simple File Sharing<\/strong>.
