Follow these steps to create a workflow:<\/p>\n

  1. On the SharePoint<\/b> site, create an Archive library and a Status column.\n
      \n
    1. Open Site Contents<\/b>.<\/li>\n
    2. \"SharepointSelect add an app<\/b> and create a new Document Library<\/b> .<\/li>\n
    3. Open the original library. From the Library<\/b> tab, go to Create Column<\/b> to add a new column for status.\"Sharepoint<\/li>\n
    4. Select the Type<\/b> \u201cChoice (menu to choose from)\u201d and enter choice values<\/b> (in this case New, Ongoing and Expired).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
    5. In SharePoint Designer<\/b>, create a workflow\n
        \n
      1. \"SharePointFrom Lists and Libraries<\/b>, open the original library.<\/li>\n
      2. From the List Settings<\/b> tab, click List Workflow<\/b> and create a workflow.<\/li>\n
      3. Open a summary page for the new workflow.<\/li>\n
      4. Under Start Options<\/b>, check all checkboxes<\/b>.<\/li>\n
      5. Go to Edit workflow<\/b> under Customization<\/b> and set the Transition to Stage<\/b> as \u201cEnd of Workflow\u201d.<\/li>\n
      6. Press Condition<\/b> and select If value equals value<\/b>. Now you will get the text “If value equals value<\/b>” under Stage 1.<\/li>\n
      7. Click on the first value<\/b> and set the return field<\/b> to the newly created column name. Here it is Document Status<\/b>.<\/li>\n
      8. At the place of the second value<\/b> you will get a dropdown with the Choices values<\/b> that you set while creating the column. Select the value that you want to use as a trigger for the move to another library, here Expired<\/b>.<\/li>\n
      9. Press the Action<\/b> button and select Copy Document<\/b>. Now you will find the text \u201cCopy Document in this library to this library<\/b>\u201d at Stage 1.<\/li>\n
      10. Click the first this library<\/b> and set it to Current Item<\/b><\/li>\n
      11. Set the second this library<\/b> to the Archive<\/b> library you have created.\"Move<\/li>\n
      12. Press the Action<\/b> button and select Delete Item<\/b>. Now you will find the text \u201cthen Delete item in this list<\/b>\u201d under Stage 1. Click this list and select Current Item<\/b>.<\/li>\n
      13. Click on Publish<\/b>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        Now whenever you set the Document Status column of any file in the original SharePoint library to Expired, that file will automatically be copied to the Archive library, and the file from the original library will be deleted.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
