To do that you need to do the following:<\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Press the Windows key to get into the Metro interface if you are not already there.<\/li>\n<li>Enter\u00a0<strong>cmd<\/strong> and right-click on the\u00a0<strong>Command Prompt<\/strong> result that should appear.<\/li>\n<li>This opens a list of options at the bottom. Select\u00a0<strong>Run as administrator<\/strong> there.<\/li>\n<li>Accept the UAC prompt<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/cdn.ghacks.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/administrative-command-prompt.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" title=\"administrative command prompt\" src=\"http:\/\/cdn.ghacks.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/administrative-command-prompt.jpg\" alt=\"administrative command prompt\" width=\"556\" height=\"355\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Enter the following command to enable the hidden administrator account:\u00a0<strong>net user administrator \/active:yes<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/cdn.ghacks.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/net-user-administrator.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" title=\"net user administrator\" src=\"http:\/\/cdn.ghacks.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/net-user-administrator.png\" alt=\"net user administrator\" width=\"534\" height=\"336\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>If you ever want to disable the account follow the same instructions, but run the following command instead:\u00a0<strong>net user administrator \/active:no<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Once you have enabled the account, you will see it listed in the user accounts control panel applet.
