When I went to active my new file server,\u00a0 I ran into an issue when trying to activate\u00a0with the Product\u00a0 KMS key.<\/p>\n<p>Server 2012\u2032s system properties do not allow you\u00a0to change the Product key.<\/p>\n<p>To change this you need to open power shell in privileged mode and enter the following cmd\u2019s.<br \/>slmgr\u00a0-upk (this removes the current Product Key)<\/p>\n<p>slmgr\u00a0-ipk\u00a0XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX (this installs the new Product Key)<\/p>\n<p>Happy activating.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I have come across a useful set of cmd\u2019s\u00a0for when you need to change the Product Key in server 2012.
