You can download the SharePoint Foundation 2010 and SharePoint Server 2010 SP1 from the following locations:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/support.microsoft.com\/kb\/2460058\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Download SharePoint Foundation 2010 SP1<\/a><\/li>\n<li>\n<div><a href=\"http:\/\/support.microsoft.com\/kb\/2460045\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Download SharePoint Server 2010 SP1<\/a><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Upgrading the existing SharePoint Server 2010 farm to SharePoint Server 2010 SP1 consist of the following three steps:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Install SharePoint Foundation 2010 SP1<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Follow the steps below to install SharePoint Foundation 2010 SP1:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Log into the SharePoint application server by using the SharePoint Setup account and execute the<strong>sharepointfoundation2010sp1-kb2460058-x64-fullfile-en-us.exe <\/strong>file.<\/li>\n<li>SharePoint Foundation 2010 SP1 installation wizard will start.<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Tick\u00a0<strong>Click here to accept the Microsoft Software License Terms <\/strong>and Click\u00a0<strong>Continue.<\/strong><\/div>\n<p><img src=\"http:\/\/www.sp-blogs.com\/blogs\/adnan\/Lists\/Photos\/BlogPictures\/070511_1938_Howtoinstal1.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>SharePoint Foundation 2010 SP1 installation is in progress\u2026<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img src=\"http:\/\/www.sp-blogs.com\/blogs\/adnan\/Lists\/Photos\/BlogPictures\/070511_1938_Howtoinstal2.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Once the installation of SharePoint Foundation 2010 SP1 is installed. The installer will request you to reboot the server. Click\u00a0<strong>Yes<\/strong> and then Click\u00a0<strong>Next <\/strong>to proceed\u2026<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img src=\"http:\/\/www.sp-blogs.com\/blogs\/adnan\/Lists\/Photos\/BlogPictures\/070511_1938_Howtoinstal10.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>On the next screen, click\u00a0<strong>Next <\/strong>to proceed\u2026<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img src=\"http:\/\/www.sp-blogs.com\/blogs\/adnan\/Lists\/Photos\/BlogPictures\/070511_1938_Howtoinstal11.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>SharePoint configuration wizard will start upgrading the farm. Please be patient as it may take 15-20 minutes depending upon the connected content databases on the farm.<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img src=\"http:\/\/www.sp-blogs.com\/blogs\/adnan\/Lists\/Photos\/BlogPictures\/070511_1938_Howtoinstal12.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Unfortunately the configuration wizard was failed in my case as shown in the figure below.<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img src=\"http:\/\/www.sp-blogs.com\/blogs\/adnan\/Lists\/Photos\/BlogPictures\/070511_1938_Howtoinstal13.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>Click\u00a0<strong>Finish <\/strong>to complete the wizard and analyse the log file.<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>In my case, configuration wizard was failed due to the following errors.<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img src=\"http:\/\/www.sp-blogs.com\/blogs\/adnan\/Lists\/Photos\/BlogPictures\/070511_1938_Howtoinstal14.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Re-run the SharePoint configuration wizard. SharePoint configuration wizard is successful.<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img src=\"http:\/\/www.sp-blogs.com\/blogs\/adnan\/Lists\/Photos\/BlogPictures\/070511_1938_Howtoinstal15.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Now verify that SharePoint 2010 farm is upgraded to SP1 level by checking the version number of Microsoft.Office.Server.dll, Microsoft.SharePoint.dll files and on the central administration web site.
